At Christ Church, we recognise that occasionally life can be extremely challenging and that all people, including our friends, family and global citizens will encounter hardships which they will require help for in order to overcome them. At Christ Church School, we inspire our children to be ‘courageous advocates’.
We believe that striving to become outstanding courageous advocates builds children’s resilience, teamwork, courage and independence. It develops their understanding of the wider world and how they can assist to make it a better place. This will empower our children to flourish in every aspect of their lives and reach their full potential.
We believe human beings are created by the same God who created the entire universe and everything in it. To look after the Earth, and thus God's dominion, is the responsibility of all God’s stewards.
We embrace the Church of England’s vision for education, one that is, ‘deeply Christian, serving the common good’, encompasses the whole of humanity and its context advocating for the widening of horizons and the promotion of human wellbeing for all.
Our vision, distinct Christian values and British values and our broad and balanced curriculum at Christ Church, ensure that there are regular opportunities to discuss current worldwide issues. This is so that the children can challenge injustices and engage in activities that can bring about change. Here are a few examples:
