World Book Week 2025
Monday began with our Head Teacher's assembly.
Ms Adams announced our annual book in a box competition (see notices) and shared her favourite book of the moment - I hate/love books. Ms Adams only read a section and left us wanting more.
By the end of the week, every class will know how this little girl feels about reading, as Ms Adams is sending the book on a journey to all classes.
It is day 2 (Tuesday) of World Book Week. We have Donna David, a children's author, with us. She did a whole school assembly; workshops with Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and sold/signed her books.
What a booktastic day at CC!
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 loved listening to one of Donna's books: Trains Trains and more Trains.
The children pretended to be trains and even played a game of parachute!
Some children created pillows for one of the characters and wrote a poem.
It was an amazing day!

Day 3 was get caught reading day.
I'll be back soon to share the winners :-)

Day 4 wasssssssssss WORLD BOOK DAY. It has been schmazing with: reading outdoors, online author visits and class swaps. It was made even more special because we were able to wear our comfiest PJs and onesies to school.
