Art and Design Week Highlights

Safeguarding Superstars
Tue 01 Oct 2024A few weeks ago, the children of Christ Church were tasked with creating their own safeguarding posters. They had to share everything they know about safeguarding and how we take care of them and how they can take care of each other. We were inspired by a book called 'People need People'. Scholastic Book Fair
Tue 10 Sep 2024Hi Parents, Carers and Children,
I have some exciting news! From the 8th - 13th November, after school (at 3 - 3.30pm) we will be running a book fair. You will be able to buy amazing and wonderful books for all ages. You will be able to pay by card or via a QR code. It will be a great opportunity to buy books for birthday presents and even get ahead for Christmas!
Pupils will be able to win £5 vouchers to spend at the fair, via in school competitions.
They will be able to browse all of the books and decide which ones they like best BUT most of all the more you spend, the more books the school will get for free - yippee !!!
Put this date in your diary; we are going to have a brilliantly bookish time.

Handwriting Winners
Wed 10 Jul 2024To celebrate World Handwriting Day, CC set a challenge.
Find out what your name means.
Copy it up in your best handwriting.
Bring it into school.
Teachers then picked their top 3, who received a little surprise from Ms Adams.

Day Three of the Year 3 and 4 Residential
Fri 14 Jun 2024It's final day of the residential and sun is shining down on all at Beaudersert.
Last night, they had some special visitors. Miss Masood, Mr Kassim and Mrs Hussain dropped into surprise the children - how lovely!
So, what is happening today?
The children will be enjoying their final activities and packing up for the journey home.
What an amazing experience!
Big thank you to the teachers and TAs for making this happen :-)

Day Two of the Year 3 and 4 Residential
Thu 13 Jun 2024Before we start on Day 2, let's talk about the night before! The children went on an evening walk through the forest and finished off the night with hot chocolate.
Day 2 is filled with more exciting challenges, including go-karting, fencing and archery.
The smiles show that the children (and adults) are having a fantastic time.
Can't wait to share news and picture from the final day. Look out for this tomorrow!

Day One of the Year 3 and 4 Residential
Wed 12 Jun 2024Excited children, teachers and parents filled the hall, as they waited for the coach to arrive. It was time to leave and the children set off on an adventure of a lifetime.
Today has been filled with:
Unpacking
Eating
Settling into rooms
Fire lighting
Rock climbing and zip wires
What an action packed day.
Day 2 pending :-)

The 2024 Winners of the Book in a Box Competition are announced!
Mon 15 Apr 2024Well done to all of the 24 children who entered. They will receive a prize - a bookish time of hot chocolate and marshmallows with Ms Adams :-)
The 4 winners, will get to go on a trip to Waterstones, to choose a book of their choice.

Year 4 - Vision and Values Project
Thu 11 Apr 2024Exciting news for Year 4.
During Summer 1, Year 4 are being commissioned by the Head Teacher to link the school's vision and values to the house teams.
It will be an 8-week project, supported by a theatre company called Stan's Cafe.
The children will be doing two things,
- designing a mural that will be going into the hall.
- creating a performance which shares their work to the school and parents.
This is going to be amazing!
