We are a School of Sanctuary!
Wed 05 Feb 2025What is a School of Sanctuary?
Schools are the heart of our communities and are central to building a better, fairer and kinder society – for everyone. A School of Sanctuary is a school devoted to making everyone feel welcome: no matter who they are and no matter where they come from.
At Christ Church, we believe this is really important, and want to make our school a welcoming and inclusive place. We are now a School of Sanctuary and their symbol is an orange heart, which signifies solidarity with people seeking safety.
Over the next year, we will be working on gaining an award for being a school of sanctuary and the faith team, alongside Ms Adams and Mrs Hussain will be leading on this work.
We will keep you posted on everything we do and how you can get involved.
Let's build a better and brighter world for all!
